The plate can be availed in different standards. The 304 stainless steel checker plate is the most common grade of stainless steel used to make chequered plates. These plates are designed with 18% chromium and 8% nickel content. A 304l stainless steel checker plate has similar corrosion resistance properties as the 304 grade. However, they have a lower carbon content and are easy to weld compared to the 304 specifications.
