A wire which is an alloy of copper and zinc and offers excellent resistance to corrosion is a brass wire. You would get variety of this wire with diameter range from 0.05-12mm. This wire is different than a copper wire thanks to its excellent resistivity towards both abrasion and corrosion, along with being highly durable. They also exhibit good electrical conductivity. This is because they contain higher contents and on the other hand, it is increasingly cold working because of higher zinc contents. This means that uniquely both higher contents offer special characteristics to bare brass wire.
They are also known as high purity cold-forming brass. This is one of the reasons why it is used in spring production, once work hardened.
