Heavy oil resources are significantly large across the world - for Oman they form about 40% of the resource base. As easy oil is depleting and demand continues to grow, we can only fill the gap with heavy oil. Oman is already exploiting a lot of its heavy oil resources and this trend will continue and expand in the future. Oman has ongoing full field developments of heavy oil using both thermal and chemical (polymer flood) processes as part of the countries daily production. Petroleum Development Oman have several areas of experience to share with the global heavy oil industry and are looking for new technologies and innovations to improve processes and reduce cost. The World Heavy Oil Congress & Exhibition (WHOC) offers companies and heavy oil professionals an exceptional opportunity to network, share project insights, exchange knowledge and meet global heavy oil professionals from Canada, China, Russia, Venezuela and United States amongst others. Held under the patronage of Ministry of Oil and Gas, Sultanate of Oman and hosted by Petroleum Development Oman, the event will take place from 2 - 4 September 2019 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. WHOC hosts an all-encompassing three-day technical conference featuring case studies and presentations; a two-day strategic conference featuring key insights from global business and thought leaders across the heavy oil value chain, and a three-day international exhibition where NOCs, IOCs, EPCs, OEMs, service and technology companies will showcase their projects, product and services PLAN YOUR PARTICIPATION TODAY |
